Al Burhan’s Magic Needle
When will it stop digging graves?!

Al-Jameel Al-Fadil
The individuals wielding small needles, utilizing such tools in their quest of digging, threatened us with a hundred-year war, which they estimated would be enough to kill (48) million people. To date, they have only managed to claim the lives of tens of thousands, which isn’t enough to clear the path for their father, (Karti), and to rule as their fate dictates, for more than one or two terms, perhaps even for three or four consecutive electoral terms, before their priest, (Al-Burhan), puts his magic needle to use to dig millions of graves, for which there may not be enough space at the moment.
As claiming the lives of innocent, pure souls continue apace to this day.
Bullets howl in every direction, planes take flight to slaughter the population, drones attack to demolish dams and other specific locations, in addition, knives are being pointed at people’s throats.
The tools and hammers of murder continue to fall upon our bowed heads, the spilled blood also rises above us like gushing fountains, staining our lives, clothes, as well as our faces. The blood stains us all, from the soles of our feet to the crown of our heads, covering us with such shameful disgrace that will inevitably haunt us forever.
At a time when veteran politician Mubarak Al-Fadil affirms that the group of Karti and Ali Osman is the worst of all the Islamist groups, because its the group that ran the Salvation (Inqaz) Government and committed all of its atrocities, according to him: This group is concerned with the continuation of the war and the perpetration of a totalitarian regime in Sudan, in addition, it seeks to return to power through that war.
Mubarak added that he has no doubt that this group has influence.
Furthermore, he shared: “However, if Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan joins hands with all the Sudanese people, all civilian political forces, and all friends and brothers of the State, that group wouldn’t be able to gain a foothold; rather, the latter will be forced to comply with the will of the Sudanese people, the Sudanese Army, and Sudan’s friends and brothers.”
He urged Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan to decide to stop the war.
Thus, Mubarak Al-Fadil simply reached this conclusion, forgetting or ignoring the pressing question, imposed by reality: Does Al-Burhan possess the required courage and ability to decide to stop such a war, which he -and his previously executed ominous coup- were vital parts in strengthening the Islamists’ power and influence to this extent ?
I seem to be failing to comprehend how a man like Al-Burhan, who has also committed atrocities that would have tore down mountains since (2019), can join hands, stained with the blood of the Sudanese people, with this nation, the bloody victim?
In any case, Mubarak Al-Fadil’s prescription also assumes the presence of civilian political forces with a weight and influence that counterbalances the Islamists’ influence. These forces, with their actual capacity for influence and action, could help Al-Burhan eliminate the Karti-Ali Osman group if these forces, whose existence I very much doubt, were willing to undertake such a role. Moreover, he assumes Al-Burhan himself, given the circumstances surrounding him, is capable of even considering the idea of eliminating this group that currently holds the reins of the Sudanese Army, and thus the decision to go to war.
Indeed, the available data, at least to date, doesn’t support the hypothesis that there are brothers and friends who trust Al-Burhan to the point of engaging in direct military intervention in a war against the Islamists in Sudan, either to ensure his continued rule, perhaps to eradicate the Islamists as a goal, or at least to weaken them.
