Slaughtered in Front of Their Children

Human Rights Organization exposes the atrocities in South Kordofan!

Using the strongest of terms, Oyoun Human Rights Organization condemned the horrific massacre committed on Sunday, (April 13th, 2025), in the village of Allouba, south of El-Obeid in South Kordofan state, describing it as a “Documented crime of genocide” perpetrated by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) militias and their allied extremist, terrorist brigades.

The organization confirmed that the massacre targeted citizens from Al-Hawazma tribe, specifically from Khashum Beit Turkawi, where an entire family was slaughtered in front of the women and children, for no reason other than their geographical and tribal affiliation, in a crime the organization described as “Brutal and a human shame.”

The organization reported that the victims are:

  • Al-Zaki Issa Turkawi
  • Al-Fateh Ali Issa Turkawi
  • Al-Raqeebah Ali Issa Turkawi
  • Abdullah Adam Issa Turkawi
  • Ahmed Adam Issa Turkawi
  • Musa Mohammed Adam Bashitin
  • Al-Tuma Mohammed Turkawi Issa (an elderly woman)

In its statement, the organization went on to share that: “The continued commission of war crimes, genocide, and ethnic cleansing by these militias without accountability is a stain on the international community and humanitarian organizations, in addition, it only serves to encourage criminals to commit further atrocities against innocent civilians.”

The Human Rights organizations called on international judicial institutions to intervene immediately, assume their moral and legal responsibilities, hold those involved in this crime accountable, and take urgent steps to protect civilians in conflict zones, especially in light of the escalating violations committed on a daily basis against the Sudanese people.

The organization noted that, “The continued international silence signifies nothing but tacit complicity with the perpetrators, and that the blood of innocents in the village of Allouba will remain a testament to the failure of humanity unless the world acts to achieve redress and justice.”
