A significant presence in Nairobi to announce the Government of Peace and Unity

The Kenyan capital, Nairobi, will host today, Tuesday, an anticipated meeting to announce the Sudanese Government of Peace and Unity, amidst a significant presence of heads of State, international organizations, leaders of political parties, as well as prominent figures in Sudan.

According to the Technical Committee organizing the signing ceremony of the Political Charter for the Government to be formed, a number of delegations from inside and outside Sudan have arrived in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, to participate in this pivotal political event.

A number of leaders of political forces and civil administrations supporting the formation of the new government have begun heading to Nairobi, as the signing of this Political Charter is viewed as a pivotal step towards establishing a civilian government for Sudan in an effort to rearrange the political scene.

The anticipated Political Charter aims to lay the constitutional foundations for forming the new government, amidst increasing political and security challenges facing the country, as the signatory forces seek to enhance cooperation and joint action to achieve stability in the country.

The signing of the Political Charter is witnessing broad participation by political and societal entities, including; The United Civil Forces (UCF), the United Unionist Party, the National Umma Party (NUP), the Democratic Unionist Party, the Revolutionary Front (SRF), Armed Movements, in addition to other civil and community entities.

A number of leaders have begun making arrangements to travel through neighboring countries to participate in the activities of announcing the Political Charter and Constitution for the anticipated Government of Peace and Unity.
