SJS calls for protecting the December Revolution gains

On Monday, the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate (SJS) issued a strongly-worded statement condemning the practices of the so-called (Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade), which the Syndicate considered a systematic attempt to undermine the murals of the glorious December Revolution and its national and cultural symbolism.

The statement emphasized that these murals constitute an integral part of the identity of the Sudanese people, and reflect the values of freedom, peace and justice for which the Sudanese sacrificed the blood of their martyrs. The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate, in the face of arbitrary attempts to spread discord and lure Sudan back to the eras of tyranny; also called for unifying ranks and protecting the gains of the December revolution.

In addition, the Syndicate stressed the importance of ending the war as a basic entry point for democratic transformation and building a new Sudan based on freedom and justice.
