RSF is close to resolving the battles of El Fasher

On Thursday night, violent clashes took place between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), supported by the Joint Force in El-Fasher, after which the Rapid Support Forces advanced to seize control over the last strongholds of the Sudanese Army and the Joint Force in the Darfur region.

Reliable sources told (Assayha) that the Rapid Support Forces’ “Tofan – deluge” force entered the city of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, on Thursday evening, and succeeded in liberating a number of significant and strategic sites, advancing towards the headquarters of the Sixth Infantry Division in the center of El-Fasher. The sources indicated that it can be said that the Rapid Support Forces penetrated the city from all directions and is advancing forcefully towards the headquarters of the Sixth Infantry Division.

The Rapid Support Forces had previously issued a (48-Hour) ultimatum to the Sudanese Army and the Joint Force fighters in El-Fasher to surrender and be able to safely evacuate the city, the deadline set by the Rapid Support Forces expired yesterday, Thursday, amidst dozens of responses, according to video clips circulated on the (X) platform.

The Armed Movements led by Gibril Ibrahim and Minni Arcua Minnawi abandoned their position of neutrality and sided with the Sudanese Army in their war against the Rapid Support Forces, which in turn invalidated the previous agreement that ensured the Rapid Support Forces won’t enter the city of El-Fasher, in addition to stipulating the formation of a joint force from all parties to protect the city.
