Dozens killed in drone attack on Al Ma’aqil Camp in Shendi
Military sources shared that eleven drones attacked the Sudanese Army’s Camp (Al-Ma’aqil), in the city of Shendi, River Nile state. The attack resulted in the death of dozens and left others wounded, most of whom were mobilized fighters.
The sources stated that (Al-Ma’aqil), which is located (150) kilometers north of the capital, Khartoum, was attacked by drones.
Eyewitnesses confirmed hearing a loud explosion – that resulted from the drone bombing of the camp, indicating that a significant number were injured, as the dead were buried in a cemetery near the site.
For his part, Al-Amin Mohammed Al-Imam, the acting head of the Popular Resistance in Shendi, stated: “The attack resulted in the death of (10) people, (3) of whom were members of the Joint Force, others were mobilized fighters from Al-Jazeera state, and our sons in (Al-Karama Brigade) are fine.”
