RSF: Our options are open about forming a government to fill the vacuum
The head of the negotiating delegation of the Rapid Support Forces, Staff Brig. Gen. Omar Hamdan, stated yesterday, Monday, that their options are open to form a government in light of the current vacuum state, humanitarian conditions, as well as issues with identification papers and communications. He added: (The Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces “Tagadom” is a peaceful civil coalition with which we agree on the principles of democratic transformation).
Hamdan stated in a press conference held by the Negotiating Delegation of the Rapid Support Forces in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Monday, that advocates of continuing the war only pay attention to the language of the gun, and we don’t reject the idea of peace if real initiatives are made available. Noting that (90%) of non-commissioned officers and soldiers are from the margin, while the Army’s Command ranks are from specific areas. Regarding relations with Egypt, Hamdan stated: (We bear no hostility towards the Egyptian people; however, we refuse to entertain any interfere in Sudanese affairs. Al-Sisi’s government rejects the Brotherhood in Egypt and supports them in Sudan because it wishes for Sudan to become its backyard. As we seek to establish good neighborly relations and have no objection to dealing with Egypt – provided that it refrains from playing negative roles).
For his part, the official spokesman for the negotiating delegation of the Rapid Support Forces, Maulana Mohammed Al-Mukhtar, stated that the decision to change the currency, issued by the Port Sudan gang is part of a plot to divide Sudan. He continued: (We have no objection to using the dollar and old currency in the regions under our forces’ control).
Al-Mukhtar pointed out that: (Due to the ongoing war, approximately “15” million Sudanese nationals are either displaced or refugees. And as a result of using humanitarian aid as a weapon against civilians, “30” million Sudanese nationals are at risk of famine) .
He added: (Al-Burhan sentences Sudanese citizens in areas controlled by our forces to starvation. While the Rapid Support Forces is working with the international community to facilitate humanitarian access. We have sought to open border crossings to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid, however the Army continues to insist on starving the Sudanese people).
Al-Mukhtar addressed the recurring airstrikes on civilians, sharing that: (The Sudanese Army’s warplanes claimed the lives of (2,873) citizens, destroyed (4,321) homes during October and the current month of November. In addition, Al-Burhan’s militia warplanes launched airstrikes that left (2928) wounded, using internationally banned and toxic bombs).
He continued: (Our forces dealt with the events east of Al-Jazeera in a professional manner to thwart the SAF Military Intelligence’s plot with Keikal’s assistance. The plot is to onset the most extensive violations east of Al-Jazeera by arming civilians).
Al-Mukhtar criticized the opening of prosecution offices in Egypt and considered it an illegal procedure. He also criticized the Strange Faces Law in the areas controlled by the Army, stating that it targeted the citizens of Darfur, the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile. and added: (The situation is stable at the moment in Al-Hilaliya. As we call on the United Nations agencies to conduct a swift intervention in the region. Extending the appeal to humanitarian organizations to reach areas under the control of the Rapid Support Forces). Indicating that, (The migration of citizens from RSF-controlled areas in Al-Jazeera comes as a result of the airstrikes launched by Al-Burhan’s militia warplanes. We have arrested hundreds of infiltrators carrying out Keikal’s plot of committing violations in Al-Jazeera.
