Russia: Agreement to establish Military Base on Red Sea is still valid

The Russian daily newspaper “Izvestia” quoted the Russian Embassy in Sudan stating that the agreement between “Moscow” and “Khartoum” regarding the establishment of a Logistical Support Base for the Russian Navy on the Red Sea coast in Sudan is still valid.

The Russian Embassy in Sudan added that the question of putting the agreement into practice remains open, taking into account the specific circumstances in both “Russia” and “Sudan”.
