Drunken Nonsense!

Ali Ahmed

A common Sudanese proverb states: “The drunkenness of Yenni, the one who sings in his grave.” As a matter of fact, I have no knowledge of who this (Yenni) is, who has managed to reach such a miserable level of drunkenness and roister, but certainly his drunkenness won’t exceed that of “Yasser Al-Atta,” perhaps it is rather similar, as Yasser is also singing while approaching the grave!

The daybefore yesterday, numerous people were laughing and ridiculing the state of “Al-Atta” while addressing a delegation of media professionals in the “Wadi Seidna” Air Base, where he was lost in the imagination of drunk, regretful people, and nocturnal creatures that cannot tell whether it is Friday or Sunday, but I swear, i felt heartbroken and ashamed by the actions of this drunkard, who became -by the grace of God, and there is no objection to His will- one of the senior Commanders of the Sudanese Army. So that the bereaved people know the reasons for the successive, crushing defeats they suffered in the current war, thus becoming a farce among the armies around the world!!

The statements of this man, who is so out of his senses and consciousness are very much well-known and vulgar enough for others to classify him as (non-reproachable). Until he sobers up, that is, but how can that be when he sets conditions for negotiation in order to end a war he is currently losing. A war that exposed the Army’s weak leadership and capabilities, revealing the extent of said leaders’ ignorance of the ABCs of war as well as the foundations of strategic planning in theory and on the ground, let alone the political matters related to negotiation, its rules and arts.

Perhaps the most important rule of negotiations in the event of war is to begin without preconditions, but Al-Burhan’s (assistant) won’t be better than Al-Burhan, as he sets four conditions. The first of which is the surrender of the Rapid Support Forces. I wish he had been satisfied with that condition alone, but rather, he went on to specify (5) camps to gather the Rapid Support Forces inside after their surrender. Does he sound like a rational man ?!

Imagine, this irrational person, setting these preconditions while the Rapid Support Forces currently controls more than two-thirds of the capital of the country, and have besieged his Army Headquarters since the beginning of the war, and seized control over most of the Army’s Divisions, Brigades, Garrisons, and military areas throughout the country, only very few remain under the Army’s control -(The 92nd Infantry Brigade in Al-Meiram was liberated by the RSF as iam writing this article). The Rapid Support Forces also exists and controls most of the country’s states, except for the Northern state and the states of Kassala and the Red Sea. So what is left for Al-Atta other than alcohol, a cup, and a wagging tongue ?!

As for the second condition, it seems that he wasn’t patient enough for “the drink on the edge of the cup to dry.” He stipulated the withdrawal of Rapid Support Forces from all residential areas and the evacuation of the buildings it had controlled during the past months.

Did you understand anything ?! If we’re to assume that the “RSF” agreed to the first condition, and went and gathered in the camps stipulated by Al-Atta, then what is the reason or need for the second condition ? This only goes to confirm that the man is drinking a cheap and low quality type of alcohol, we advise him to abstain from. Isn’t the first condition to surrender and gather in five stipulated camps ? So how can the “RSF” withdraw from the residential areas if the first condition was accepted ?

As for the third condition, it is the funniest and most ironic. He said: “Handing over weapons,” returning foreign fighters to (their countries), and extraditing those who are facing charges related to violations.

At this juncture, we are merely wondering: Is this going to take place after they implement the condition of surrender and begin crammed into Al-Atta’s camps ? Or before that ? What is the correct sequence to these conditions?

As for the fourth condition, there is no fourth, not a third before it, or a second, not even a first. He stipulates that, in the future, the Rapid Support Forces will not be granted a presence -meaning a role- be it Military or Political. As if -Al-Atta- will play a role in our future lives. whether he lives, or we do ? By God, I am ashamed to discuss these conditions, for they are in fact one condition, but the man doesn’t seem to realize what he is saying!

If Al-Atta was conscious at the moment, let him try to reclaim Sennar state, and mobilize the White Nile, the Blue Nile, El-Gedaref, North Darfur, and the River Nile states, so as not to find himself surrounded by the RSF “Ashaws” in his hideout in “Karari” or “Wadi Seidna”. Then he might urinate on himself as drunkards do. And degrade the military uniform in the process, even though he continues to insult it day and night, until the military uniform became on par with the dress of an adulteress. Didn’t Nada Al-Qalaa, Asha Al-Jebel, Rashan Al-Sahal, and Mona Al-Wadi wear them as well ?

It was stated, and the responsibility for such words falls on the original narrator, that the delegation of media professionals whom Al-Atta was addressing in “Wadi Seidna” when he announced the aforementioned preconditions, were astonished and in utter disbelief at what this creature with a long history of lying and indulging in imaginative fantasies was saying. Even though they were “Blabsa” and corrupt remnants of the former regime.

They’re the utterances of a drunkard.
