UAE welcomes the US designation of the MB in Sudan as a Terrorist Organization

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) welcomed the announcement issued by the Administration of the US President Donald Trump, designating the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan as a “Terrorist Organization.”
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the US action reflects the ongoing and systematic effort undertaken by the Trump Administration, which aims to halt the excessive violence perpetrated against civilians and the destabilizing activities being carried out by the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan, as to undermine the efforts expended to resolve the conflict in Sudan.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that the aforementioned step represents a pivotal measure within the US efforts to deprive the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood of the resources that enable it to engage in, support, or justify all acts of extremism, hatred, and terrorism.
The Foreign Ministry further reinstated the UAE’s support for all international efforts aimed at combating extremism and terrorism, and promoting regional as well as international security and stability.
