The President of the Presidential Council on an official visit to Kampala

His Excellency, the President of the Presidential Council, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, arrived this morning, Friday, in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, on an official visit. He was accompanied by the Vice President of the Presidential Council, Commander Abdel Aziz Adam Al-Hilu; Professor al-Tahir Abu Bakr Hajar, a member of the Presidential Council; Dr. El-Hadi Idris Yahya, a Council member as well as Governor of the Region of Darfur; Dr.Mabrouk Mubarak Salim, a Council member and Governor of Eastern Sudan Region; in addition to Professor Khaldi Fathi, who is a member of the Council, as well.
Furthermore, in accompany was the Prime Minister, Professor Mohamed Hassan Osman El-Ta’aishi; the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim Al-Mirghani; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Ammar Amum; the Minister of Oil, Al-Basha Mohamed Al-BashaTibeaq; the Chairman of the National Authority for Humanitarian Access, Ezz El-Din Al-Safi; and a member of the Leadership Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance, Sultan Ahmed Ayoub Ali Dinar of Darfur.
His Excellency was received at the Presidential Airport in Entebbe by the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Ambassador Joseph Okello, along with a number of Ugandan government officials.
The visit of His Excellency the President of the Presidential Council and his accompanying delegation took place in an effort to discuss bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and conceive approaches that aim to develop said relations in various fields. In addition, the visit strives to familiarize the Ugandan leadership with the developments in Sudan in light of the April 15th war and its repercussions on the Sudanese people, especially on a humanitarian level.
