Tasis announces completion of preparations for the 2026 Sudanese Certificate Examinations

Mohamed Hassan El-Ta’aishi, the Prime Minister of the Peace and Unity Government announced the completion of all technical, administrative, and security arrangements for the 2026 Sudanese Certificate examinations. He affirmed his commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students, including those who were prevented from taking the exams during the previous years as the war in Sudan has been raging.
In a statement issued today, Monday, regarding the commencement of the Sudanese Certificate examinations, the government, based in Nyala, stated that the ongoing war, which erupted on April 15th three years ago, caused widespread destruction and the collapse of State institutions. It led to the displacement of millions of Sudanese people and deprived a large number of students of their right to education, particularly in areas under the government’s control.
The statement emphasized that education is a top priority for the Peace Government, as it represents a fundamental pillar for rebuilding the country. Furthermore, the statement noted that intensive efforts have been made recently to explore the most appropriate methods of resuming the educational process and creating a suitable environment for its continuation, despite the challenges posed by the conflict.
In addition, according to the statement, the Council of Ministers, in coordination with the Technical Supervisory Committee for Examinations, will oversee the registration procedures, organize examination centers, announce schedules, and supervise the examination process in a manner that ensures integrity, transparency, and the safety of students as well as staff.
The Sudan Founding government emphasized that education is a fundamental right for all Sudanese citizens, affirming its commitment to guaranteeing equal opportunities for students to enroll in universities and educational institutions under its administration, in accordance with established standards, and to continue putting forth diligent efforts to protect the right to education -without compromise- under any circumstances.
