Once Again.. The Rapid Support Forces in Omdurman

Field sources told (Assayha) that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are approaching the city of Omdurman from the west in an attempt to liberate it from the Sudanese Armed Forces’ control, a year after the former’s withdrawal from the capital, Khartoum.

Videos circulating online documented a large RSF force on the road linking Omdurman and the city of El-Obeid (the export route/road), reportedly en route to Omdurman.

The Rapid Support Forces, a year after their withdrawal from Khartoum, are returning to the capital, having achieved significant victories in Kordofan and Darfur. The latest development takes place amidst escalating calls from the de facto authorities in Port Sudan for citizens to return to Khartoum, whilst warnings are circulating in regards to the use of civilians as human shields and the exploitation of their lives.
