 The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis)

Press Statement on the Liberation of the 22ndDivision in Babanusa and Regaining Control of Qardud Nyama

We, in the Sudan Founding Alliance, congratulate the Sudanese people, and all Sudanese men and women at home and abroad, on the liberation of the 22nd Division in Babanusa from the Muslim Brotherhood, their Army, militias, and allies.

In addition, we commend our forces for successfully regaining control over the area of Qardud Nyama, located north of Al-Murib in the New Tagali District of South Kordofan/Nuba Mountains region, in response to repeated attacks by the Islamic Movement’s militias against our forces, despite the latter’s adherence to the humanitarian truce announced.

We, in the Sudan Founding Alliance, aim to express sincere congratulations to all our fighters in the field, praying for the souls of our martyrs, and wishing a speedy recovery to our wounded. We Commend the civilians putting forth efforts in various service sectors under the difficult conditions witnessed as a result of the ongoing war, for they voluntarily chose to offer their best to assist the Sudanese people who have been deprived of their most basic rights to healthcare, education, and humanity.

We affirm our commitment to the humanitarian truce declared by the President of the Presidential Council of the Government of Peace, and Chairman of the Sudan Founding Alliance’s Leadership Council, Mr. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo. Furthermore, we are putting forth diligent efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need. Nevertheless, we also reserve the right to respond to any aggression against us or our forces by the Muslim Brotherhood Army and its affiliates.

Our hands will remain extended for peace, but a peace that fulfills the desires of the Sudanese people in the glorious December 2018 revolution; a peace that ends all the wars across this exceptional country, and uproots the Islamic Movement and the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood regime.

The revolution continues, and victory is certain.

 Dr. Alaa El-Din Awad Nugud

Official Spokesperson for the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis)
