Tasis Welcomes Designation of Muslim Brotherhood as a Terrorist Organization

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) announced on Monday its welcome of US President Donald Trump’s intention to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a “Terrorist Organization.”
This comes hours after the US state of Texas declared the Muslim Brotherhood a “Terrorist Organization.”
In a statement, the Alliance considered the decision to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a “Terrorist Organization,” as indicated by President Donald Trump to “Just the News,” the true and correct path to ending the war in Sudan —not only the April 15th war, but all the wars in Sudan that erupted after this terrorist group seized power in the country in (1989) through a military coup.
Assayha publishes the statement of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis):
Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis)
Press Statement Regarding the Designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a Terrorist Organization
We, in the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) have been invested in following the diplomatic developments and political statements -over the past two weeks- in regards to the ongoing war in Sudan. Moreover, we highly value and appreciate the diligent efforts being made to stop the war, due to which, Sudanese men and women have suffered gravely. Hence, we would like to emphasize the following:
1- The decision to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a “Terrorist Organization,” as indicated by President Donald Trump to “Just the News,” is the true and correct approach to stopping the war in Sudan, not only the war of April 15th, but all the wars across Sudan, raging mercilessly since this terrorist group was able to successfully seize power in the country in (1989) through a military coup. Furthermore, this particular coup was the culmination of these terrorists’ control over the Army, falsely and deceitfully referred to as the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). For the latter has only succeeded in shedding Sudanese blood, killing and slaughtering citizens, in an eerily similar manner to the events that took place in South Sudan prior to its secession, and in the NubaMountains, Blue Nile, and Darfur, when the Military was callously killing the Sudanese people and igniting wars whilst calling them ‘Jihadist Wars’ under the guise of confronting insurgency.
Thus, designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a “Terrorist Organization” is entirely consistent with the Presidential Council’s decree on terrorism, issued by the Government of Peace and Unity.
2- Following the year (1989), and even prior -since (1956), this terrorist organization, utilitied its various names and forms, such as the Islamic Charter Front, the National Congress Party, the Broad Islamic Current, and others, in an effort to seize control of the official State Armament (the Army), which was promptly reduced to a state of subservient. In addition, it possesses numerous military battalions, such as Al-Baraa Ibn Malik and Al-Qa’qa’ Brigades, which are called “The Shadow Brigades.” Therefore, such entities ought to be designated as terrorist groups, similarly to the parent organization, due to the crimes, massacres, and acts of racism they committed prior to and throughout this war.
3- This terrorist group’s actions weren’t limited to merely igniting this war by seizing the Army and controlling its decisions, but extended to encompass political aspects, for it went on to sponsor and form numerous alliances, such as the Democratic Bloc, which, dating as far as the Transitional Period, has put forth efforts to undermine the democratic process, deceiving the masses under the guise of broadening participation and rejecting the Framework Agreement sponsored by the international community. The aforementioned alliance sided with the Islamist Army in this war, moreover, a significant number of its military and political leaders, in exchange for monetary compensation, abandoned their positions of neutrality, which, in turn, thrust the Sudanese civilians into the midst of the conflict, turning safe areas into battlegrounds -such was the scenario that took place in El Fasher.
4- The Muslim Brotherhood and its Sudanese branch, the dissolved National Congress Party (NCP), along with its Army, are allied with numerous terrorist organizations and regional as well as global axes of evil in this war, supplying them with money and weapons. These include Iran, Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist groups.
5- Eliminating this terrorist group’s control over Sudan requires integrated military, security, political, and diplomatic efforts, as it is similar to a cancer that has long spread throughout the country and afflicted its people.
We will continue putting forth diligent efforts to liberate our country and the Sudanese people from this terrorist group, and our hands will remain extended to achieve peace, cooperating with all who desire to establish peace in Sudan.
