Amid Reports of Fierce Clashes, RSF Evacuates Residents of Babanusa

The head of the Civil Administration in West Kordofan state, Youssef Aliyan, stated that the residents of Babanusa have been evacuated to safe areas, including Al-Fula, Al-Mujlad, Ghabish, and Lagawa. The aforementioned process of evacuation aims to prevent the exploitation of the situation to falsify subsequent claims about targeting civilians within the city.

Furthermore, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are preparing to liberate the 22nd Division Headquarters in Babanusa from the grip of the Islamic Movement militias, as a large force has arrived in Babanusa amidst reports of fierce clashes that took place yesterday. The aforementioned development comes as part of a series of inevitable attacks, expected to take place in the coming hours.

Aliyan explained that the Civil Administration has formed specialized field committees tasked with monitoring the situation of the displaced persons and coordinating the services provided to them. The head of the Civil Administration in West Kordofan went on to emphasize that this step comes within the framework of what he described as “preserving the safety of civilians and ensuring the delivery of aid and essential services.”
