RSF announces an investigation into Journalist Muammar Ibrahim for Defamation

Today, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) published a new video showing Journalist Mu’ammar Ibrahim, who was arrested last week whilst leaving El-Fasher -after the RSF took control of the city, and was later transferred to Nyala.
In the video, RSF Spokesperson, Al-Fateh Qurashi stated that Journalist Mu’ammar Ibrahim is under investigation for defamation, as the latter described the Forces as a “Militia” and “Janjaweed,” which, in turn, prompted the spokesperson to accuse him of lacking impartiality.
He added that Ibrahim would be released after the investigations are completed, provided that the Rapid Support Forces’ Leadership approves.
