Sandal: We’ll hold anyone who broke the law in El Fasher accountable 

 Suleiman Sandal, the Minister of Interior in the Sudan Founding Alliance Government “of Tasis,” announced that citizens’ rights will be protected and their dignity will be preserved. 

In statements made today, Sunday, he affirmed that anyone who dares to break the law in El-Fasher will promptly be held accountable, and that all directives issued by the Rapid Support Forces Commander, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo will be implemented.

Commanders Tasked with Monitoring

The Minister emphasized that the Rapid Support Forces previously issued a specific additional Code of Conduct for its forces on all fronts. He revealed that specific Commanders were assigned the tasks of enforcing discipline and monitoring.

Furthermore, he indicated that the Rapid Support Forces are currently putting forth efforts to deploy Police Forces in addition to law enforcement agencies in all areas under its control.

In his statement, the Minister in the Peace Government explained that work is underway “to facilitate procedures for all international and national organizations to provide -the much needed- humanitarian aid.”

Last Sunday, the Rapid Support Forces managed to successfully seize control of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, after a months-long siege.
