RSF denounces false allegations of targeting civilians in El Fasher

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) rejected allegations of bombing civilians in El-Fasher and expressed their astonishment and dismay at the statements made by the US President’s Senior Advisor for African Affairs, Massad Boulos, and a number of regional partners participating in the “Peaceful Solution to End the Sudanese Crisis” initiative, which held the Rapid Support Forces responsible for what was described as attacks targeting a shelter in El-Fasher, North Darfur.
In a statement issued by the official spokesperson, the Rapid Support Forces rejected what it described as “a rush to announce condemnation, based on single-source information,” considering it part of what it called “a policy of double standards.”
“We have followed with astonishment and dismay the statements made by the Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for African Affairs, Mr. Massad Paulos, and some regional partners involved in the “Peaceful Solution to End the Sudanese Crisis” initiative, which held our forces responsible for what they described as attacks targeting a shelter in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur,” according to the published RSF statement.
Furthermore, the Forces condemned the rush to condemn them based on single-source information and the continued policy of “double standards.” This is evident -in particular- when examining the course of military operations in El-Fasher, where the RSF confidently confirm that the city is devoid of civilians, except for the military pockets of the so-called (Popular Resistance) and elements of the terrorist regime, who are prone to using the hospitals and mosques as military barracks and rocket launchers, exploiting them -rather shamelessly- to launch their attacks. Moreover, they proceed to attempt, through deliberate schemes, to issue false accusations, claiming that the Rapid Support Forces are targeting civilian objects.
In the latest statement, the Rapid Support Forces drew attention to the record of heinous crimes committed by the hijacked Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), along with its allies and followers against civilians in Darfur, including deadly drone attacks, aerial bombardment, and the dropping of explosive barrel bombs. For the aforementioned documented incidents have resulted in thousands of casualties since the outbreak of the ongoing war, without clear and consistent condemnation from regional and international actors. Furthermore, according to the Forces, the latest of these crimes is a series of violations and massacres that claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians as a result of targeting markets and public places. As drones targeted the Bulbul Tembesko area, west of Nyala, South Darfur, on (October 1st, 2025), killing (83) civilians; as well as Al-Zurruq area of North Darfur on (October 2nd, 2025), killing (17) people; and the town of Al-Koma in North Darfur was targeted on (October 11th, 2025), where SAF drones killed (20) civilians -marking the (139th) attack on Al-Koma since the outbreak of the war on (April 15th, 2023). In addition, the Rapid Support Forces went on to explain that numerous areas were subjected to drone attacks, which led to the deaths of hundreds of civilians, even though the aforementioned areas are not witnessing military confrontations and are devoid of any RSF military presence.
The statement called on the international as well as regional community and human rights organizations to be patient, exercise neutrality, and not be swayed by false claims aimed at misleading public opinion and distorting the facts. It affirmed the Rapid Support Forces’ full commitment to the rules of engagement, which protect civilians and respect human rights, whilst simultaneously upholding its legitimate right to self-defense. It also called on international bodies to adhere to the principle of neutrality and to refrain from rewarding the terrorist Islamic Movement group and its affiliates, allowing them to conduct their disinformation campaigns and circulate media fabrications.
In conclusion, the RSF affirmed that its forces will continue to achieve their legitimate objectives of dismantling institutions of injustice, combating terrorism, and completing the project of building a State on the foundations of justice, equality, and good governance.
