UCF accuses Al Burhan of politicizing SAF

Demanding to designate the Islamic Movement as a terrorist group
The United Civil Forces Alliance in Sudan (UCF) called on the international community to designate the Islamic Movement in the country as a “Terrorist Group,” accusing the Commander-in-Chief of the Port Sudan forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, of politicizing the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
In a statement, the Alliance indicated that the Islamic Movement threatens Sudanese national security.
Furthermore, the (UCF) accused Al-Burhan’s forces of igniting the ongoing war in the country, which erupted in (April 2023), in accordance with the Islamic Movement’s plot.
The Civil Forces pointed out as well that “There are multiple sources when it comes to the decision-making process within the Sudanese Army, which has rendered it an ideologically politicized Army, incapable of making its own decisions. Rather, all decisions come from the Islamic Movement.” Adding that “The Islamic Movement’s infiltration of the Sudanese Army has led the latter to harbor and breed terrorist groups such as the Sudan Shield, Al-Baraa Ibn Malik, and others, in addition, it has worked to infiltrate civil institutions by empowering Muslim Brotherhood cadres.”
According to the statement issued by the Sudan Civil Forces Alliance, Al-Burhan is plotting to reinstate the former regime, moreover, his statements, whether addressing -his- soldiers or uttered outside the country, are directed and indoctrinated by leaders of the Islamic Movement, most notably of whom is the terrorist Ali Karti along with other groups.
“A wide spectrum of civilians in SAF-controlled areas are currently suffering from repression because the former regime enacted laws restricting civilian movement (The Strange Faces Law). Additionally, even the provision of basic services has been restricted by rather limiting controls and regulations,” according to the (UCF).
The Alliance’s statement indicated that “The crimes of murder, slaughter, and abuse committed by the Sudanese Army along with its allied militias and withstood by the Sudanese people during this war are amongst the damning evidence proving the involvement of these terrorist groups in such malicious schemes.”
In conclusion, the (UCF) shared that “The necessary designation process includes a thorough review of each faction of the Movement in Sudan separately, with documentation of the evidence.”
