The Rapid Support Forces down a Bayraktar drone west of El Obeid

 The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced yesterday, Tuesday that they had managed to successfully shoot down a Turkish Bayraktar drone in the Abu Qoud area, west of the strategic city of El-Obeid, in North Kordofan state.

Currently, the Rapid Support Forces is engaged in fierce battles with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in various areas of Kordofan, and is seeking to expand its advancement into the strategic city of El-Obeid.

On Tuesday, the Air Defense Unit of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) successfully shot down a Bayraktar drone in the Abu Quoudarea, west of Al-Obeid in North Kordofan State, in a precise and high-impact operation. This marks the sixth drone downed by the RSF within the past three months.

Our forces reaffirm their firm commitment to protect civilians and standing against the relentless attacks launched by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) operating under the terrorist Islamic Movement through almost daily by airstrikes and drones, deliberately target residential neighborhoods, public facilities, vital infrastructure, and hospitals—constituting a blatant violation of international laws and norms.

Our forces reaffirm their full preparedness to confront any aggression aimed at endangering civilians or seeks to destabilize the region, emphasizing their ongoing vigilance and presence on the ground to protect cities and villages, ensuring the protection and security of citizens. We stress that our forces will never allow any threat to the safety of the homeland or the lives of innocent people.
