The Presidential Council’s Chairman discusses situation in Sudan with British Envoy

The Chairman of Sudan’s Presidential Council, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo held fruitful talks during a phone call on Saturday with Richard Crowder, the UK Special Representative for Sudan. The discussions covered the historical relations between Sudan and the United Kingdom.
For his part, Daglo praised the significant and ongoing efforts put forth by the United Kingdom to support the Sudanese people, particularly in regards to providing humanitarian aid and reinforcing the protection of civilians, in addition to its valuable contributions to ending the war and achieving security and stability in the country.
Furthermore, President Daglo provided a detailed explanation of the ongoing political developments, the announcement of the Peace and Unity Government, the motives that led to its formation, and its vision in regards to ending the wars as well as achieving a comprehensive and just peace, in addition to alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Sudanese people.
