Hence, the issue of justice is now in the hands of the Salvation Regime!!

With Al-Burhan’s latest act of appointing an Attorney General —and she is truly a representative— the entirety of the judicial bodies become firmly within the grasp and under the control of the Salvation (Inqaz) Regime. Thus, those who oppressed us for thirty years, during which they divided the country’s wealth amongst themselves, violated the Constitution, and committed the most heinous crimes, are now completely safe and secure in their knowledge that they will be able to evade accountability for these crimes. 

Where does Al-Burhan scrape such audacity to challenge an entire nation, betray their revolution by blatantly and openly appointing members of the ousted regime and the National Congress Party (NCP) in all judicial bodies (Ministry of Justice, Attorney General, Presidency of the Constitutional Court). Moreover, he is relying on implementing Judge Abu Sabeiha’s patterns of sweeping and scraping the decisions issued by the revolutionary government through the Dismantlement and Empowerment Removal Committee (DERC), that was tasked with dismissing members of the Salvation regime within the judicial bodies. Al the above took place despite the fact that these decisions, too, lacked proper implementation. They neither followed the revolutionary path —as the Salvation Government did by eliminating all its opponents from State institutions, “surreptitiously,” largely through internal resolutions— nor did they proceed on the sound path of justice, by reviewing and adjudicating the appeals and grievances of those affected by the DERC’s decisions.

Al-Burhan continues to reiterate on every occasion that his opponents’ repeated claims, regarding his reliance on the cadres and members of the former regime in his authority, is pure lies and slander.
