The Rapid Support Forces: Exiting El Fasher is Possible

The Advisor to the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Al-Basha Tibeaq, confirmed that El-Fasher isn’t under siege, “as claimed by the war coalition in Port Sudan,” the media rooms of the National Congress Party (NCP), the Islamic Movement, and the media of the mercenary Armed Movements, which Al-Basha considers the primary cause of the humanitarian crisis affecting the citizens. He confirmed in a Facebook post: “The Rapid Support Forces and the Sudan Founding Alliance forces are working to secure safe routes for civilians leaving El-Fasher and to provide them with humanitarian assistance.”

He added, “The circled propaganda about a siege of El-Fasher is no more than fabricated media claims for political gain, to gain the sympathy of the international community, and to mislead local, regional, and international public opinion. All avenues are available to anyone who finds an opportunity to escape the confinement imposed by the mercenary Armed Movements, the Sudanese Army, and the terrorist Al-Baraa militias in El-Fasher, whether civilian or military. They will encounter the Sudan Founding Alliance forces, willing to welcome them, provide transportation and security until they reach safe locations.”
