JEM: The government of Tasis establishes the nascence of a new Sudan and addresses the roots of the crisis

The Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) welcomed the announcement of the Peace and Unity Government, considering it the nascence of a new Sudan aimed at preserving national unity, ending the war, addressing the roots of the political crisis, establishing sustainable peace, ensuring proper management of national identity, proper resource allocation, and the equitable distribution of wealth and governance.
In a statement issued on Sunday, (JEM) congratulated the Sudanese people, the marginalized, the displaced persons, the refugees, the migrants, and those forced to fee due to the accursed war sparked by the remnants of the former regime and the terrorist militias of the non-Islamic Movement.
The Movement’s political and military leadership along with its supporters across the country extended their sincere congratulations to the President of the Presidential Council, his deputy, the members of the Council, as well as the Prime Minister on gaining the confidence of the Sudanese people and the broad masses of the Sudanese marginalized people to build the Second Republic, which was established on the ruins of the failed First Republic.
The statement added that the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement, an integral part of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis), and a participant in the Peace and Unity Government, believes that its vision is to build a State of true citizenship, of justice and equality, one that seeks freedom, social justice, and human dignity for all Sudanese communities and components.
The Justice and Equality Movement renewed its commitment to stand united with all political and civil forces that aim to achieve peace and stem the bloodshed, to establish a secular, democratic, civil State that puts forth diligent efforts to preserve the unity of Sudan, its land and people, and to address the roots of the political crisis in Sudan, to stop the war, bring peace, address the humanitarian disaster, rebuild and establish a professional army as well as the civil service, reform the economy, and establish foreign relations based on the principle of neighborliness and mutual interests with all countries around the world. In addition to seeking to reform the educational curricula and scientific research that were deliberately sabotaged by remnants of the former regime.
The Movement exploited that the announcement of the formation of the Peace and Unity Government marks the end of the era of injustice, tyranny, oppression, as well as racial, cultural, and religious supremacy. It also marks the end of the era of wars and internal conflicts, the cessation of killing, displacement, genocide, and apartheid. Furthermore, it marks the beginning of an era of national recovery, reconciliation, and social peace amongst the Sudanese people; the beginning of a new history characterized by freedom, tolerance, and the inculcation of a spirit of patriotism and a sense of belonging to one’s homeland; the beginning of national reconciliation, healing from the ills of the past, and the return of displaced persons and refugees to their areas of origin, as well as those displaced by the April 15th war, which was sparked by remnants of the former regime, the militias of the non-Islamist Movement, and the terrorist jihadist brigades, with the aim of returning to power after being overthrown by the people in the glorious December Revolution.
The Justice and Equality Movement reiterated its support and backing for the Peace and Unity Government program, and its commitment to working in a team spirit to build a new Sudan, with all political and civil forces that signed -or adhere to- the Sudan Founding Charter.
