Free Lions: Today we reap the fruits of an arduous journey of sacrifices

The Free Lions Party considered the Sudan Founding Alliance’s announcement of the Peace and Unity Government to be the fruit of an arduous journey lined with sacrifices, and a new dawn that fulfills the hopes of the nation as well as the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
In the statement issued on Sunday, the Free Lions Party shared, “O proud Sudanese people, who managed to successfully attain glory with your patience, and woven determination with your will. Today, we celebrate together the nascence of a new dawn with the formation of the Peace and Unity Government, which carries within it the hopes of a nation and the aspirations of the people.”
“You have traveled an arduous journey lined with sacrifices, and today you are reaping the fruits of your patience; a government that beats with the heart of every Sudanese, one that recognizes no distinction between north and south, nor between east and west, but rather raises the banner of the homeland above all considerations,” according to the statement.
The Party described the new government as not just a political formation, but rather a new era, and a practical promise that security will prevail throughout the nation, and that the economy will serve the people, not subjugate them. The statement went on to explaine that they are aware of the magnitude of the challenges and hence believe that the Almighty’s will will favor those who put forth efforts, and that the will of the people is invincible.
Furthermore, the Party emphasized the principle of accountability and oversight, stating: “Every Sudanese pound will be accounted for and subject to oversight. Public funds will be spent in its proper avenues. Every penny will contribute to building the future. We will leave no room for corruption, and we won’t allow the people’s wealth to be squandered.”
The Free Lions stated that the government bears a sacred mission of rebuilding what has been destroyed over the years, healing the wounds of the past, and clearing the paths to the future for all Sudanese. Adding: “We are well aware that the road is long, however, we are confident that you are with us, as a partner in the process of establishment, and as support in times of adversity.”
