Al Mirghani: The Peace Government represents all components of the Sudanese people

Ibrahim Al-Mirghani, a member of the Leadership Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis), confirmed that the new appointments to the Transitional Peace Government were based on the Constitution and the Charter, and were keen to represent all the Sudanese components, whilst utilizing the political expertise of the government members.
In exclusive statements to (Erem News), Al-Mirghani explained that the formation of the new Sudanese government at this juncture, mere days before the Quartet meeting in Washington, means that the group calling for the continuation of war in Sudan has rejected all peace initiatives and withdrawn from all platforms, claiming legitimacy.
In response to a question regarding the representation of the new Sudanese government at the Quartet meeting scheduled for the end of July, the Sudanese politician explained that the meeting is an important development, which will be followed by serious steps towards achieving a solution to the Sudanese crisis. He indicated that the situation will become clearer after the meeting and the issuance of the summit’s final statement.
However, in regards to the international positions on the formation of the new Sudanese government, Al-Mirghani emphasized that “the international position depends on the interests and relationships of countries,” emphasizing Sudan’s aspirations for positive relations with all countries across the world, particularly with neighboring and regional States.
