The original Democratic Unionist Party welcomes the announcement of the Peace and Unity Government in Sudan, considering it an important step in the right direction towards restoring the country’s unity, stemming the bloodshed of war, and promoting the values of justice and democracy.

We, in the original Democratic Unionist Party affirm our full support for every serious patriotic effort aimed at achieving the following:

– An immediate and comprehensive cessation of war throughout Sudan.

– Transitional justice and accountability.

– Establishing a civil democratic regime that reflects the aspirations of the people.

– Building a State based on voluntary unity, balanced development, and comprehensive peace.

We call on all political, social, and armed forces to prioritize the national interest over narrow interests and to engage sincerely in the process of establishing lasting peace, which can only be achieved through unity of word and positions.

May the Almighty bless the just cause of the Sudanese people with victory and success.
