Widespread welcome for the announcement of the Leadership Body of Tasees

Political entities, civil society organizations, and Armed Movements expressed warm welcome for the announcement issued by the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees), which enunciated the Alliance’s leadership body as consisting of (31) members, headed by the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo; his Deputy, Lt. Gen. Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, head of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N); in addition, Makin Tirab was appointed as the Alliance’s rapporteur; whereas Dr. Alaa El Din Nugud is to perform duties of the Alliance’s official spokesperson.
The Sudan Founding Alliance announced its leadership body in Nyala, South Darfur, the day before yesterday, amidst widespread welcome from the Sudanese people, who believe the announcement of the leadership body paves the way for the imminent announcement of the Government of Peace and Unity.
Furthermore, (Tasees) endorses the secularism of the State, federal rule, and the establishment of a new Sudan governed by the values of freedom, peace, and justice. In addition, the Alliance advocates the establishment of a single, professional national Army, far removed from politics or the government.
