On the road to Omdurman: RSF assumes control of Rihaed Al Nuba

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced their control of the area of RihaedAl-Nuba in North Kordofan state, located on the road between Omdurman and Bara, in a video posted on social media.

In the aforementioned video, soldiers from the Rapid Support Forces were in the area, documenting and confirming their control, as well as announcing the intention to advance towards Omdurman.

Rihaed Al-Nuba is located on the strategic road linking the cities of Bara and Omdurman, approximately (20 kilometers) southwest of Omdurman.

Since the beginning of the month, the Rapid Support Forces have managed to successfully regain control over several areas in North, West, and South Kordofan. In addition, they announced that their forces regained control of Al-Dibaibat and Al-Hammadi in South Kordofan, Al-Khawi in West Kordofan, and Kazgil in North Kordofan. Meanwhile, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) led by Al-Hilu announced that their forces were able to seize control of Al-Dashoul area in South Kordofan, on the road linking Kadugli and Dilling.

The Rapid Support Forces are seeking to control the city of El-Obeid and advance towards Omdurman as well as other areas.
