Military aircraft destroyed at Atbara Airport in the latest drone attack

Informed sources in the city of Atbara, River Nile state, confirmed this Thursday morning that two military aircraft were completely destroyed in a drone attack targeting Atbara Airport over the past few hours.
The attack, the latest in a series of strikes on the military infrastructure of the terrorist Islamic Movement in the city, also resulted in the destruction of other military targets inside the airport, in addition to platforms used to store aircraft and heavy military equipment.
This development comes in light of the significant progress made by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the ground in Kordofan, where they have tightened the noose around the strategic city of El-Obeid in North Kordofan state and the desert, which they have managed to successfully impose their full control over, including the Chevrolet Military Base, Karab al-Toum, and al-‘Uweinat Triangle. In consequence, this places further pressure on Al-Burhan’s militia and threatens a decisive sweep in the coming period.
