Russian cargo aircraft detected transporting weapons and military equipment to SAF

A Russian Aviacon Zitotrans IL-76TD cargo aircraft, with registration number (RA-76842), landed at Port Sudan Airport, arriving from Sochi International Airport in Russia, according to data provided by aircraft tracking programs.

The data showed that the aircraft departed later yesterday, Monday, heading to Dalaman Airport in Türkiye, amidst increased activity of heavy cargo aircraft traveling between Russian and Turkish airports, in an indication of ongoing logistical coordination via this particular air route.

Informed sources reported that these flights include shipments of weapons and military equipment, as part of military cooperation between Sudan, Russia, and Türkiye.
