Tasees: Liberating the border triangle area is a crucial step in drying up

the most dangerous illegal migration crossings

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) announced that the liberation of the border triangle area linking Sudan, Libya and Egypt represents a crucial step in drying up one of the most dangerous illegal migration crossings towards Libya and then Europe.

In a statement, the Founding Alliance explained that the border triangle area had become a route “linked to human trafficking crimes and the financing of armed groups. In addition, cross-border networks, including those linked to the international terrorist organization (the Muslim Brotherhood); are active there.”

The statement considered the most recent development —the Rapid Support Forces (a key component of Tasees) gaining control of the border triangle area; a step that ought to contribute to protecting lives and enhancing regional security, in addition to “mitigating the influx of irregular movement that poses a threat to the security and stability of international and regional partners.”

The Alliance shared that the liberation of the area “will greatly benefit the Sudanese citizens, allowing them the opportunity to benefit from their plundered resources, which were going into the pockets of certain groups and individuals from that Brotherhood group, their army, and brigades, in addition to financing their terrorist operations in the region.”

According to the statement, all of Sudan’s borders have been liberated, except for its border with Eritrea and the remainder of the northern border with Egypt, which “will continue to be liberated, along with the entire country, from this group.”

The Sudan Founding Alliance noted in its statement that the accusations made by the “Islamists’ Army” and the Port Sudan Authority against the Libyan Army of fighting alongside the Rapid Support Forces are inseparable from previous accusations made against a number of regional and neighboring countries, which only served to propel Sudan back to the same state of isolation it suffered through, during the era of the dissolved National Congress Party (NCP).

“The path to liberating the country from this unjust clique and from authoritarian rule will continue, and Sudan will not return to the dark ages it has forever departed from. We will build the new Sudan that all Sudanese men and women have long been dreaming of since independence,” according to the statement issued by (Tasees).

On Wednesday, the Rapid Support Forces announced their full control of the strategic border “Triangle” area located at the intersection of the borders of Sudan, Egypt, and Libya, following violent clashes with the (Joint Force) affiliated with Darfur Armed Movements and the Sudanese Army.
