RSF officially announces the liberation of the strategic border triangle area linking Sudan, Libya and Egypt

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced on Wednesday, that they had managed to establish full control over the border “Triangle” area linking Sudan, Libya and Egypt, and stated that they had liberated the area from Al-Burhan’s militia and the mercenaries of the Armed Movements.

In a statement, the Rapid Support Forces added that on Wednesday morning, they were able to successfully liberate the strategic border “Triangle” area, which constitutes a pivotal meeting point between Sudan, Libya, and Egypt, a qualitative step that will surely create an impact along several combat fronts, particularly in the northern desert. In addition, this victory contributes to ongoing efforts of combating illegal immigration and human trafficking on the Sudanese border.

Earlier this Wednesday morning, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) successfully took control of the strategic Almuthallath “Triangle” area, which constitutes a pivotal junction between Sudan, Libya and Egypt. This control of this area is a significant step that will impact multiple combat front lines, particularly in the northern desert. The victory is also expected to strengthen the efforts to combat the illegal immigration and human trafficking along Sudan’s borders.

Our forces engaged in swift and decisive battles against the mercenary militias and terrorist battalions, resulting in the enemy’s retreat southward after suffering heavy losses in personnel and equipment. Our forces seized dozens of combat vehicles.

The importance of this victory stems from the strategic location of Almuthallath “Triangle” area, which serves as a crucial economic and border crossing point between the three countries. It functions as a vital hub for trade and transportation between North and East Africa. It is also rich in natural resources, including oil, gas, and minerals. Additionally, the area represents a symbol of cultural diversity and social interaction among the region’s communities.

The advancement of our forces into the northern desert axis represents a strategic shift in securing borders and protecting the nation, particularly in response to repeated incursions by mercenary movements and militias backed by the terrorist “Port Sudan de facto Authority.”

The people of the area came out in spontaneous celebrations, expressing their support for our heroic forces and welcoming the liberation of the “Triangle” area, a moment that indicates the return of security and stability.

We assure our great people that the Rapid Support Forces remain steadfast and responsible in their national mission to secure Sudan’s borders and prevent them from making the area a haven for the mercenary and militias of the terrorist Islamic Movement that seek to escalate the conflict and threaten the regional security.

We will continue to fight relentlessly until every inch of our country is liberated. We will topple the regime of oppression and terror and build a new Sudan on the foundation of peace, justice, and full national sovereignty.
