The Sudanese Army bombs IDPs Shelter in West Kordofan

 

At least eight people were killed and others were injured in a drone strike carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) targeting a shelter for displaced persons (IDPs) in the state of West Kordofan.

 

The state’s Emergency Room reported in a statement that the strike targeted Abu Zabad Girls’ Secondary School, which was being utilized as a shelter for IDPs. The strike killed eight IDPs, amongst whom were a six-year-old child, and injured nine others.

 

The statement explained that the location targeted was utilized as a shelter for IDPs fleeing the war and had arrived there seeking safety and security.

 

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have previously managed to successfully seize control of the town of Al-Khawi in West Kordofan state and the surrounding areas in recent weeks.
