A Decisive Turning Point…

RSF seizes control of strategic areas in Kordofan

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced on Thursday that they had successfully taken control of four strategic areas in South and West Kordofan states, describing this particular field advancement as a “decisive turning point” in the ongoing confrontations against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), its allied terrorist militias, and mercenaries from the Armed Movements.

A statement issued by the Rapid Support Forces shared that the aforementioned areas include Al-Dibaibat and Al-Hammadi in Southwest Kordofan, and Al-Khawi and Um Sumaima in West Kordofan. The statement indicated that the operation represents a “strategic development” against what it described as the “terrorist Army operating under the Islamic Movement.”

The Rapid Support Forces reported that the battles resulted in “heavy losses” amongst the ranks of the Sudanese Army and its militias, confirming the deaths of more than (2,300 personnel) and the seizure of approximately (300) fully equipped combat vehicles, including armored vehicles, tanks, and heavy artillery, along with vast quantities of ammunition.

According to the statement, ” the repercussions of this victory extend far beyond the borders of Al-Dibaibat, Al-Khawi, Al-Hammadi, and Um Samima, reaching directly into the heart of the major battle in El-Fasher and other fronts. With every axis that is sealed off and every supply line that is cut, the options available to the SAF and their Islamic Movement and its mercenaries steadily shrink, and their morale continues to collapse leaving them with no choice but to surrender or be annihilated.”

The Rapid Support Forces addressed the Sudanese people, stating that what they described as “the era of marginalization” is over, and that “justice and victory are on the horizon,” threatening further operations in the coming days.
