RSF announces liberation of the strategic Dibaibat area in South Kordofan

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced on Thursday the liberation of the city of Dibaibat in South Kordofan state after fierce battles with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). The Rapid Support Forces stated that they managed to inflict heavy losses on “on the Sudanese Army, which has been hijacked by the terrorist Islamic Movement and its allied mercenary Movement’s.”

The Rapid Support Forces shared in a statement that they had seized a number of combat vehicles and large quantities of weapons and ammunition, stressing their commitment to continue their operations until the country is liberated from “the filth of the terrorist Islamic Movement Army militia.”

Accounts close to the Rapid Support Forces circulated video clips from inside the city of Dibaibat in South Kordofan state.

Earlier this Thursday morning, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) completely liberated Al-Dibaibat area in South Kordofan State, following battles in which they inflicted heavy casualties on the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), which have been hijacked by the terrorist Islamic movement and its allied mercenary movements. The RSF also seized a number of combat vehicles and large quantities of weapons and ammunition.

Today, our forces have achieved a significant victory through their immense sacrifices and firm determination to cleanse the land of the army of the terrorist Islamic movement and their allied mercenary groups. This victory paves the way for the complete liberation of the country and the rebuilding of Sudan on new and just foundations.

We affirm that the liberation of Al-Dibaibat is part of our forces’ plan to liberate all occupied areas and to secure the safe return of the civilians who were forcibly displaced from their homes due to ethnic cleansing campaigns and brutal practices that targeted them. We pledge to our people that we will preserve the gains of this victory and strengthen the protection of civilians.

Our forces confirm their commitment to continue advancing on all fronts. The goal is to eliminate the army of the terrorist Islamic Movement and to make this war the final war in Sudan’s history. By doing so, the foundations will be laid for a state built on freedom and justice and putting an end to decades of injustice and marginalization.
