Due to the use of Chemical Weapons, Tasees calls for sanctions against Port Sudan Authority

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees), the largest political and military alliance in Sudan, called on the regional and international community to uncover the facts regarding the Sudanese Army’s use of prohibited chemical weapons, demanding sanctions against the perpetrators.

In a press release, the Alliance confirmed that the US State Department’s decision proves the use of chemical weapons by the Islamic Movement’s Army and its allied brigades in their war against the Sudanese people.

“The Army leaders themselves admitted to using lethal and covert force against the Sudanese people in order to restore the Islamic Movement’s rule, which was overthrown by the glorious December 2019 revolution,” according to the Founding Alliance.

Furthermore, (Tasees) welcomed any serious cooperation that would stop the war in Sudan and pressure the army leaders who reject any peace efforts, noting that this refusal “is neither surprising nor new, especially since the history of the Islamic Movement is replete with crimes, evidenced by the International Criminal Court’s demand to hand over the ousted Omar Al-Bashir, Abdel Rahim Mohammed Hussein, and Ahmed Mohammed Haroun.”

According to the Alliance, “The Islamic Movement, its terrorist brigades, and the Army it hijacked since its ill-fated coup in (June 1989) have committed every crime known to man against the Sudanese people.”

The press release emphasized that the Islamic Movement, which separated South Sudan and ignited wars in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile, exploiting religion at times and the policy of “divide and conquer” at other times; ignited the Khartoum War and slaughtered innocents, hence, it won’t hesitate to use all types of internationally prohibited weapons.

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) called on Sudanese men and women to be aware of the plans of “this criminal, deviant group and its Army, in an effort to thwart the opportunity to drag them into the swamps of a civil war in which the fires of racism and tribalism will flare, in addition, blood will be shed, as they have always claimed.”
