Hamdok intervenes to save Sudan from an environmental disaster

The former Prime Minister, Abdalla Hamdok stated that he had contacted several relevant regional as well as international health and humanitarian agencies.
Hamdok added in a post on his (X) account that he had briefed the aforementioned parties on the catastrophic health situation witnessed in Sudan, particularly the outbreak of Cholera, in addition to other epidemics in Khartoum and the states.
The former Prime Minister called on all humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to save the Sudanese people and to put forth all possible efforts in order to contain the health crisis.
Observers believe that the spread of dangerous epidemics in Sudan is a direct consequence of the Sudanese Armed Forces’ use of prohibited chemical weapons and the bombing of a chemical weapons warehouse belonging to Al-Bara Ibn Malik Brigade at the University of Khartoum’s Faculty of Education building, in Omdurman
