SGHRF investigates beheading of lawyers by SAF in Khartoum

The Sudanese Group for Defending Rights and Freedoms (SGHRF) announced that it has initiated investigations into two horrific incidents of beheading lawyers in the state of Khartoum following the Sudanese Army’s entry into the city. The group confirmed that the investigations are being conducted in cooperation with a number of lawyers and that it will inform the public of the results.

In a press release, the Sudanese Group shared that it had received testimonies and information regarding the beheading incident of lawyer Mohamed Fuleija, which occurred in the area of Dar Al-Salam, Block 20, in recent days following SAF’s entry into Khartoum.

The (SGHRF) added that it had also previously received information about the beheading of lawyer Zakaria, who hailed originally from Central Darfur. He was found slaughtered in the Southern Belt area following the Sudanese Army’s entry into Khartoum. In conclusion, the rights group noted that the aforementioned weren’t isolated incidents, but two victims amongst a number of others who lost their lives in a similar manner.
