Tasees: Severing ties with the UAE is an invalid decision that doesn’t represent the Sudanese people

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) considered the Port Sudan Authority’s decision to sever diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to be “an invalid and hostile declaration that doesn’t represent the Sudanese people, but rather reflects the isolation of the Muslim Brotherhood Organization and its lacking agenda.”
In a statement, the Alliance ridiculed the announcement by the so-called “Security and Defense Council” designating the (UAE) as “an aggressor State,” asserting that the decision lacks any political or moral legitimacy and fails to acknowledge the essence of the profound relations between the Sudanese and Emirati nations, which has always been based on mutual respect and cooperation.
In their statement, the Alliance shared that this decision, issued in a “confused and disgraced” scene, is part of a desperate attempt by a failed coup authority to inflame regional hostility and divert attention from its deteriorating internal crises. Tasees’ statement pointed to the failure of the regime’s complaint against the (UAE) before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the international community’s rejection of it.
The Alliance warned of the danger of exploiting this move to harm Sudanese citizens residing in the (UAE), including threats to revoke their passports. It called on Sudanese at home and abroad to ignore what the statement described as “reckless hostile behavior” and maintain close relations with countries that have supported Sudan in times of hardship.
The statement noted that despite this official hostility, the (UAE) maintained its diplomatic representation in Sudan out of respect for the people, not out of recognition of the isolated authority of the coup leaders on both domestic and international levels.
The statement issued by (Tasees) ridiculed the performance of the coup leaders, sharing that the “so-called Minister of Defense” officially declared war, while Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan appeared in a video recording in which he avoided mentioning the (UAE), in what the statement described as “a clear distribution of roles amongst the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood military gang.”
The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) concluded its statement by emphasizing that “these schemes won’t manage to deceive the Sudanese people, who have long realized the extent of the conspiracy against their future.” The statement emphasized that the active forces of the revolution will move forward in the path of change and the establishment of a free, civil State that belongs to the future, not to a past stained with blood and hollow slogans.
