Al Hilu: Hemedti understood the nature of the conflict
And his forces sided with the marginalized against injustice.

The head of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, announced today, Monday, that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had realized the reality of the conflict in Sudan and sided with the marginalized, following the outbreak of war on (April 15th, 2023).
In an interview with (Al-Hadath), Al-Hilu stated that a shift had occurred in the position of the Rapid Support Forces’ Commander, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hemedti), as he agreed to put forth efforts to attain a new Sudan against the old Sudan, which “breeds injustice and hatred.” He noted that Hemedti realized the mistake and furthermore, understood the nature of the conflict, given his affiliation with the marginalized.
The head of the (SPLM-N) shared that the United Nations is unaware of the reality of the events taking place in Sudan and doesn’t -seemingly- see the violations carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), as the latter have continued to repeat the same pattern throughout the country since (1956).
Al-Hilu went on to emphasize that the Sudanese Army has committed horrific violations in Al-Jazeera and Khartoum states, and that the Islamic Movement supports the Army in justifying these crimes.
He stressed the need to defeat what he called “The forces of darkness or the old forces,” of which the Sudanese Army is a pillar, or to agree on a new Sudan. Otherwise, “The war won’t stop and there will be no change.”
In his opinion, the importance of the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) stems from its signature by the two largest parties that have shared power in Sudan: The National Umma Party (NUP), headed by Maj. Gen. Burma Nasser, and the original Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), led by Ibrahim Al-Mirghani.
The head of the (SPLM-N) stated that Maj. Gen. Burma Nasser had joined the (Tasees) Alliance with more than (80%) of the National Umma Party’s membership.
He revealed that its rather possible that the Government of Peace and Unity would be declared from anywhere, as the Alliance controls vast territory in Sudan. He added that the government is adopting a project that preserves Sudan’s unity and is performing only service-oriented roles.
