Al Hadi Idris: The New Government opposes any division of Sudan

Al-Hadi Idris, a leader in the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees), stated that they oppose any intention to divide Sudan. He added that the new government, which is expected to be formed soon, is pursuing a unification agenda, as well as delegitimizing the existing government led by the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. Therefore, any statements to the contrary is a considered an attempt to deliberately fabricate and spread misleading information.
“Our position on the violations committed against civilians during the war that has been raging between the two parties (the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces) since mid-April (2023) is principled and moral. As we support comprehensive justice and the enforcement of the law against perpetrators of crimes,” according to Al-Hadi Idris.
He explained that it is rather difficult to resolve this conflict militarily, despite the Sudanese Army’s recent victories and advances. For war is often characterized by a series of attacks and retreats. One day you’ll achieve a victory, and the next you lose. The balance of power may shift at any moment. Therefore, anyone who bets on achieving absolute victory is simply delusional.
