The National Umma Party (NUP) condemned the slaughter of the Party’s Chairman, Al-Tayeb A’beid Allah, in the locality of(Um Rawaba), North Kordofan state, by members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

Press Statement
In continuation of their heinous crimes against innocent citizens, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied militias committed a shameful crime against Professor Al-Tayeb A’beid Allah, the Chairman of the Party and Director of Education in the locality of (Um Rawaba). He was one of the pillars of education in the region, who spent his life educating generations and serving the people, he was forcibly taken in a brutal crime that shook the human conscience and revealed the criminal face of these forces. The criminals prevented citizens from approaching his dead body for more than three hours as the late Chairman lay covered in his own blood, whilst news of similar massacres and field executions being committed against citizens in the city were circulating. Two days ago, the city of Bahri witnessed similar crimes that escalated to the point of mutilating and burning corpses, dragging and killing others in front of citizens in a scene that was utterly devoid of humanity.
The National Umma Party (NUP) strongly condemns these heinous crimes and holds the leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied militias fully responsible for all the horrific crimes and violations against citizens carried out in areas where they have any military presence, which -in turn- necessitates investigation and accountability. The Party demands the leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) to investigate these crimes, arrest their perpetrators, bring them to justice, and put an end to these violations against citizens. The (NUP) calls on human rights and international organizations to monitor and condemn these crimes, demand that their perpetrators be held accountable, and ensure that protection is provided to innocent citizens who are subjected to the most severe forms of brutality, abuse, and terrorism.
These criminal acts cannot be tolerated as they are only perpetrated by terrorist organizations that don’t value the human life nor dignity and -certainly- don’t respect the law.
The Party calls on all national and societal forces to unite their efforts to stop the ongoing war, to confront hate speech and racism as well as these terrorist acts that violate the values of religion, morals and Sudanese customs.
The National Umma Party offers its condolences to the family of the beloved Professor Al-Tayeb A’beid Allah and his loved ones in (Um Rawaba) locality, and offers its condolences to the families of all the victims, in an expression of solidarity. In addition, the Party prays for mercy on all souls of the righteous martyrs. May the wounded and injured be blessed with a speedy recovery, for Allah is the All-Hearing, All-Answering.
