Secretary-General of UCF: Al Burhan is practicing Genocide and using food to impose his control
The Secretary-General of the United Civil Forces (UCF), Ibrahim Zariba, accused the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) of “Attempting to mass annihilate entire social components” in different regions of Sudan.
He stated that the Commander-in-Chief is targeting these areas with aircrafts and depriving them of their basic civil rights, in addition to utilizing food as a weapon to impose control.
Zriba added, in an interview with (Erem News), that Al-Burhan and his regional allies are working to destabilize Sudan, in refrence to the direct military intervention.
He pointed out that Al-Burhan is seeking to effectively wage a war against the new government – which Sudanese forces are seeking to form; because it will focus on providing services to Sudanese citizens in areas outside his control; a step that will naturally threatens his influence.
Zriba shared that the Sudanese political forces are working diligently to form the new government, in an indication to the importance of technical preparation for government structures and functions as well as setting priorities.
He explained that the next stage requires the preparation of ambitious programs that aim to alleviate the suffering of citizens, and reinstate the peace process at the forefront of goals.
The Secretary-General of the United Civil Forces went on to stress that political and social consensus is the basis for the success of the expected government; which naturally requires holding broad consultations that include all segments of the Sudanese society.
He added that the political forces are working to involve “stakeholders” in the process of forming the government despite the communication difficulties resulting from the war.
He emphasized that “Despite all the challenges, the political forces and civil society are committed to continuing their efforts to form a government that serves the benefit of Sudanese citizens, in the face of local and regional obstacles.”
Ibrahim Zariba stated that Sudan is suffering significantly from the repercussions of the State’s collapse due to the war that has affected various parts of the country.
He emphasized the urgent need to form a new government that provides basic services to the citizens and alleviates their worsening suffering.
He explained that the suspension of the educational process and other basic services unfortunately leaves entire generations vulnerable in the face of various dangers, with the consequent exacerbation of crises in the health, service, and economic sectors.
The (UCF) Secretary-General pointed out that citizens suffer significantly from the disruption of the issuance of identification papers and civil transaction papers, in addition to restrictions on currency exchange that hinder the circulation of goods in various regions.
He added that humanitarian aid is facing major restrictions due to the actions of the Port Sudan Authority, stressing that basic services such as communications, the health sector, water, and fuel have become almost non-existent.
Zariba went on to share that Sudanese producers are facing difficulties in exporting their goods abroad, which in turn increases pressure on the local economy and hinders recovery efforts.
