On Wednesday, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) delivered a decisive blow to the hostile opposing forces by intercepting and downing an Iranian-manufactured Shahed 129 drone in Bahri. This sophisticated drone, deployed to target innocent civilians in Bahri, Khartoum, and Omdurman, serves as undeniable evidence of the escalating flow of military supplies to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allies within the extremist Islamic Movement. These foreign-backed aggressors continue to fuel a campaign of terror aimed at annihilating the very fabric of Sudanese society.

The SAF’s relentless and barbaric assaults, bolstered by indiscriminate airstrikes and extremist militias, have unleashed a wave of destruction that defies comprehension. Entire communities across Darfur, Blue Nile, Kordofan, Gezira, and Khartoum are under siege, forced to endure a reign of terror that has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands, maimed countless others, destroyed homes, and obliterated critical infrastructure. The human suffering is staggering, and the silence of the international community is deafening.

The supply of Iranian arms to the SAF and its terrorist allies is not an isolated act but a deliberate and calculated campaign of terror. It is a direct assault on Sudan’s sovereignty and a gross violation of international law. These actions, driven by foreign interference and extremist ideology, threaten not only the lives of innocent Sudanese citizens but also the stability of the region and the security of the Red Sea. The RSF unequivocally condemns this brazen aggression and calls on the world to take immediate and resolute action to halt these atrocities.

The RSF remains unyielding in its mission to dismantle the terrorist former regime and eradicate the so-called “Port Sudan gang.” This gang, comprised of the co-opted SAF leadership, remnants of the corrupt and oppressive former regime, and extremist operatives linked to the Islamic Movement, represents the greatest threat to Sudan’s future. We are steadfast in our vision of ushering in a renewed Sudan — one founded on the principles of justice, equality, democracy, and inclusivity, where every citizen’s rights and dignity are upheld without exception.
