RSF denounces SAF airstrikes on Nyala
The Rapid Support Forces vowed an overwhelming and painful response to the killers and terrorists. They expressed their condemnation of the airstrikes carried out by the Sudanese Army on the city of Nyala – South Darfur state.
The official Spokesperson for the Rapid Support Forces confirmed in a statement that the response will be swift, strong, and decisive, as the hands of justice will certainly reach them after the Rapid Support Forces destroy the last stronghold of terrorism and treason.
The Rapid Support Forces shared in a statement:
On Monday evening, warplanes belonging to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) militia, with support from external parties, launched intensive airstrikes on Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state. The relentless bombardment targeted residential neighborhoods and public facilities, including healthcare hospitals.
The aerial assault has engulfed the city of Nyala in flames, claiming the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians across various neighborhoods. Rescue operations are underway as bodies are pulled from the rubble of homes, many of which were destroyed while their occupants—predominantly children, women, and the elderly—were inside.
In a deliberate attempt to instill fear among security personnel and spread terror among citizens, the Port Sudan gang executed four successive air raids. These attacks, marked by the indiscriminate use of barrels and explosive bombs, were carried out in a barbaric and reprehensible manner, with grave and far-reaching consequences.
The reckless targeting of unarmed civilians is a heinous crime that will remain etched in the memory of the Sudanese people. Our forces reaffirm that the response to these atrocities will be swift, strong, and decisive. The perpetrators of these terrorist acts will face justice, as we relentlessly work to dismantle the last bastions of terrorism and betrayal.
