Nyon talks in Switzerland call for dismantling Al-Bashir’s regime and extraditing wanted persons to ICC
Sudanese political and civil forces as well as Armed Movements concluded an agreement to end the war, deliver humanitarian aid, and build a unified Army, in a document concluded in the Swiss city of Montreux on Friday and was disclosed yesterday, Saturday.
The document, called “ Nyon Operation” (a suburb of Montreux) according to (Asharq Al-Awsat), stipulates the formation of a broad civil front to end the war, dismantle the “June 30, 1989 regime,” extradite wanted persons to the International Criminal Court (referring to former President Omar Al-Bashir and his aides), and build a unified, agreed-upon political path, to be presented to the forces not participating in the Swiss meetings for agreement.
Montreux witnessed, between the 25th and 28th of November, intensive meetings between Sudanese political, civil, and military forces, coordinated by a French organization, as an extension of a series of meetings in Cairo and Geneva.
