Hours after the massacres of Balil and Nyala

Warplanes carry out a new massacre in Saraf Omra

The Sudanese Army’s warplanes launched a new airstrike on “Saraf Omra” in North Darfur state, and committed a new massacre hours after bombing the displaced persons camp in Balil locality and the city of Nyala in South Darfur state.

The Rapid Support Forces shared in a statement:

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), under the command of the terrorist Islamic Movement, has once again unleashed a ruthless assault on Sudan’s civilian population. This latest wave of violence, which occurred on Sunday, saw the indiscriminate bombing of residential neighborhoods in Saraf Omra, North Darfur, resulting in the tragic massacre of defenseless civilians, with dozens killed and scores more injured in the onslaught.

This brutal assault follows closely on the heels of recent atrocities in Nyala and Belil, South Darfur, where the spilled blood of hundreds of innocent victims remains fresh. In a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, the SAF has intensified its airstrikes, specifically targeting densely populated civilian areas in Saraf Omra. The onslaught has leveled homes, burying unarmed citizens — including many women and children — beneath the rubble, with casualties rising as rescue operations continue amid the devastation.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has documented substantial evidence of foreign intervention supporting the terrorist Islamic Movement in what appears to be a coordinated campaign of racial genocide throughout Sudan.

We call upon all Sudanese people — from all communities, backgrounds, and political perspectives — to unite and stand firm against these destructive attacks and the deliberate attempts of the SAF to destabilize our nation. Our dedicated soldiers remain resolute in their mission to free Sudan from the clutches of the oppressive former regime, the terrorist Islamic Movement, and all their corrupt brethren in the so-called “Port Sudan gang.” Our commitment remains unshaken to rebuilding a just, peaceful, and equitable Sudan. We will continue to the end our fight for the dignity and future of all Sudanese citizens.
