The remnants’ aviation… Daily war crimes

Abdul Rahman Al-Kelis

We shouldn’t -not even for a second- ignore the horrific violations that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity that Al-Kizani Army’s Aviation carries out on a daily basis, seriously effecting lives, as well as public and private property. Since last Friday, the terrorist Kizani Aviation has begun launching raids by dropping explosive barrels on the city of Mellit (North Darfur), killing (15) civilians, including women and children, dozens were injured, homes were destroyed as well.

On Saturday, the terrorists changed their flight destination to (Al-Amiriya) west of Omdurman, where the Resistance Committees of Ombada (west of Omdurman) revealed that the Aviation dropped (11) explosive barrels on the homes and defenseless citizens, killing (49) people, most of whom were women, children and elderly people, as well as injuring hundreds, while more than (160) homes were destroyed.

This horrific massacre has been documented, the videos and photos circulated are enough to make bodies tremble, hearts grieve, and the souls abhor it. There is no power nor might save in Allah from these horrors and human remains of innocent citizens, both men and women, who are killed daily in cold blood.

The Resistance Committees condemned (last Monday) the actions of what they called Al-Burhan gang and the terrorist Islamic Movement, whose aircraft targeted the “Karor” market in the Ombada area, west of Omdurman, where dozens of innocent civilians were killed, and the bodies of women and children were charred in a horrific scene reminiscent of a human slaughterhouse.

These criminal raids with high destructive energy continue to take place on a daily basis, targeting innocent citizens, bringing to mind the Army’s practices -since its establishment- against civilians in South Sudan, the Nuba Mountains, and Darfur, in addition to the events of Al-Jazeera Aba, Al-Koma, Mellit, Sennar, Al-Hasahisa, and other regions.

These heinous massacres and slaughters committed by the Islamic Movement’s Aviation supports, strengthens and reinforces what Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, the former Prime Minister and head of the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces “Tagadom” stated in his speech last week at Chatham House in the British capital, London, about the necessity of protecting civilians and “imposing a no-fly zone to provide safe areas inside Sudan.”

The issue of a no-fly zone has become a top priority for Sudanese citizens and for the free nations supporting these civilians who are targeted in their lives, homes and simple economic activities (everyday livelihood). Political forces and civil society ought to support this urgent and pressing demand, to form a cohesive and strong front to push the United Nations and major international powers to impose a ban on the Army’s Air Force run by the Islamic Movement and supported by the Aviation of other countries. This must be followed by imposing safe areas (havens) for citizens, which will naturally be fortified from the parties to the conflict and managed by the local and civil society with the assistance of international organizations working in the humanitarian space.

These matters are necessary and urgent in order to protect civilians, and we must take the necessary steps to implement them in reality, on the ground. The free world cannot witness all these violations, deaths, and the dismembered bodies of women, children, and the elderly and stand by doing nothing.

Allowing the criminal Kizan of the Army leadership to command an Army and own aircraft is an unforgivable crime, because they aren’t morally qualified to manage a war (of the braves). They are heartless and conscienceless men who don’t hesitate to kill a human being because of a dispute over the ownership of a (needle). They are the criminals of the era, and there is no place for them among normal people, and this is what will happen to them sooner or later, for God is a mighty avenger and severe in punishment.
